Based in Paris. Distinguished writer on shell art and design and also jewellery and collections of curios. He is deputy editor of Thames and Hudson. His major publications include Shell Shock (1994) and Cabinets of Curiosities (2002). He is a new member of Friends of Shellhouse Talks.
